Our Story
Founded in 2012 by Beth Barchet and Rick Paul of Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., Peace Zone was established to empower individuals living with mental health issues. With a grant from the State of Indiana, the first and only recovery center in Evansville opened its doors on February 28, 2013. In just four months, Peace Zone welcomed over 1,200 visits, showcasing the community's need for such a vital resource.
Impact
As a peer-run recovery center, Peace Zone provides a supportive environment for individuals struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. Members find solace in shared experiences, reinforcing the belief that recovery is not only possible but expected for everyone.
