Our Story

Founded in 2005, the Peace Leaders Foundation is dedicated to supporting individuals affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. Initially, President Mercedes Christian helped over 70 victims recover from domestic violence in her home, leading to the formal establishment of the organization to ensure reliable funding and consistent programming.

Providing compassionate, no-cost psychosocial counseling, the foundation serves individuals with limited financial resources throughout Florida, aiming to prevent violence and promote mental health as essential tools for healing and resilience.
