Transforming Lives Through Pet Grooming

Since 2016, Pawsperity has been dedicated to uplifting families from generational poverty by providing job training in the art of dog grooming. Founded by Natasha Herdman, who recognized the barriers faced by homeless families in Kansas City, Pawsperity combines her mother’s lifelong experience in pet grooming with a mission to create sustainable employment opportunities. The pet grooming industry offers a lucrative, flexible career path that does not require a GED and is accessible to individuals with criminal records.

Empowering Families for a Brighter Future

Pawsperity empowers families to uplift themselves from generational poverty through comprehensive training in pet grooming. The program includes hands-on job training and essential soft skills courses, preparing students for successful careers and fulfilling lives beyond Pawsperity.
