Our Story

In 1978, Dr. Don Wilson envisioned a dedicated space for artists at Shawnee Mission North High School, akin to facilities for sports teams. With the support of Greg Brantman and community volunteer Meg Cross, this vision became a reality, leading to the establishment of the Brantman Patrons Gallery in 1979. Since then, the gallery has proudly showcased professional artists while providing invaluable scholarships and enrichment opportunities for students.

Impact

The Brantman Patrons Gallery has enriched the lives of hundreds of students through art programs, funded summer scholarships for over 30 aspiring artists, and facilitated educational visits to the renowned Nelson-Atkins Art Museum.
