Our Story

The Dearborn Pastoral Counseling Center (DPCC) was established in 1984 to offer faith-based mental health counseling that is financially accessible to individuals in the community. Located at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn, Michigan, DPCC was founded by a group of dedicated ministers who recognized the growing need for mental health support within their congregations and the wider community. Over the years, DPCC has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community, now providing both faith-based and secular counseling services. The organization collaborates with various insurance companies to ensure that clients receive the support they need.

Impact

DPCC is committed to ensuring that no one is turned away due to financial constraints. Approximately 70% of the operating budget is generated through insurance billing, while 24% comes from client payments and only 4% from donations. This demonstrates the community's trust in the effectiveness of DPCC's services.
