Our Story

Paso Pacífico is dedicated to restoring and protecting the endangered dry tropical forest and coastal ecosystems of Mesoamerica's Pacific Slope. By collaborating with local communities, landowners, and partner organizations, innovative programs are developed to protect biodiversity and create wildlife corridors. Since 2005, efforts have expanded from Nicaragua to El Salvador, reconnecting people and wildlife.

Impact

With over one million trees planted and significant increases in local wildlife populations, Paso Pacífico has made a tangible impact. The organization has stabilized the yellow-naped amazon parrot population and increased the black-handed spider monkey population by over sixty percent.
