Our Story

The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools was established in 2007 through a collaboration of LA Unified, visionary donors, and public and private partners. This initiative aims to transform schools and revolutionize educational systems, empowering students to receive a high-quality education. Currently, the organization manages 20 schools in high-need areas such as Boyle Heights, South LA, and Watts, serving approximately 13,500 students.

Impact

Over the past decade, Partnership network schools have achieved remarkable gains in student achievement. The graduation rate has surged from 36% to 89% since 2008, while the four-year college acceptance rate for students at Partnership high schools has increased from 32% in 2015 to 62% in 2024. With over $110 million raised and invested in public schools, the Partnership mobilizes around 300 community partners to provide essential support.
