Our Story
The Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi was established in 1998, driven by a commitment to combat tobacco use through effective prevention and cessation programs. Born from the 1994 tobacco settlement, this initiative has united public and private organizations, including former Attorney General Mike Moore, to create a healthier Mississippi. By implementing the Centers for Disease Control's Best Practices, the Partnership has become a national leader in tobacco prevention, developing innovative educational programs that foster long-term behavioral change among youth and adults.
