Partners in Bible Translation

Our Mission

Partners in Bible Translation is dedicated to reaching people groups in Africa who have yet to receive God’s Word. Since 1986, this mission has focused on Bible translation, literacy outreach, and evangelism, primarily in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia.

Beginning in 1990, the organization worked closely with the Mayogo language group for nearly eight years, learning their language and culture. This foundational work paved the way for further translation efforts across Zambia, where 42 languages exist, and many remain without a written form of scripture.

Over the past 28 years, countless languages have received God’s Word for the first time, thanks to the dedication of a faithful team and generous partners. This transformative work continues to spread hope and faith across Africa.
