Our Story
In February 2016, Jim Rhodes was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, starting with a small thumb tremor that quickly escalated. Recognizing the need for support, Jim and his wife Carolyn became certified coaches in Rock Steady Boxing, a program designed to help those with Parkinson's. Since then, Jim has not needed a cane, showcasing the transformative power of exercise and community support.
Parkinson's Dynamics was established to expand upon the success of Rock Steady Boxing and the Parkinson's Voice Project. With a dedicated team of neurologists, therapists, and social workers, the organization aims to educate and empower clients and their families to live well today. In 2020, the city provided a dedicated space for these programs, and renovations began in 2022 to create a welcoming environment for all.
