Park DuValle Community Health Center

Our Story

In the early 1960s, residents of the Park DuValle area raised concerns about the lack of medical services. Community activist Vernice Hunter led a coalition that worked with civic groups to establish a health care facility. In 1968, Dr. Harvey I. Sloane became the first director, and since then, the center has expanded to serve the community with various health services, including satellite locations.
