Our Story

Founded in 2006 by counselor Mike Speakman, Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) was created to support parents facing the challenges of having a child with substance use disorder. The organization provides hope through education and support, offering free weekly meetings that follow evidence-based practices.

Impact

PAL has positively impacted thousands of families by fostering a supportive community and reducing feelings of isolation among parents. Research from Northern Arizona University indicates that participation in the PAL program leads to improved wellbeing and decreased enabling behaviors.
