Empowering Parents for Public Schools
For over 25 years, Parents for Public Schools has been at the forefront of enhancing public education by mobilizing and educating parents across the United States. Founded in Mississippi, this grassroots movement began with a group of twenty parents who recognized the power of collective action in demanding better resources and higher standards for their children’s education. The National Office of Parents for Public Schools was established in 1991, uniting diverse voices advocating for the fundamental right to excellent public schools.
Impacting Communities Through Engagement
Parents for Public Schools elevates the role of parents from passive observers to active participants in their children’s education. By fostering meaningful parent engagement, PPS empowers families and communities to advocate for quality education, ensuring that every child has access to the resources they need to succeed.
