Our Story

Parents For Peace was co-founded by Melvin Bledsoe after his son Carlos was radicalized and committed a deadly act of terrorism on US soil. This organization began as a support group for families affected by extremism and has since expanded to offer a confidential helpline. The mission is to break the cycle of extremism by empowering families to address the radicalization of loved ones.

Impact

Since its establishment in 2017, Parents For Peace has coached hundreds of families and individuals across North America struggling with different ideologies, providing a free and confidential intervention helpline for addressing extreme beliefs and behaviors.
