Our Story

Founded in 1973 by two mental health professionals, PACE emerged from the need for support among new mothers in the D.C. area. With no family nearby, they created a community to connect moms, offering essential resources and emotional support. What began in a living room has blossomed into over 75 groups serving more than 900 mothers annually across D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland.

Our Impact

For over 50 years, PACE has been a lifeline for mothers and their babies, providing critical education and emotional support. PACE groups empower first-time and second-time moms to navigate the challenges of parenthood while fostering connections with others in similar stages of life.
