Our Story
Founded in 1971 by dedicated mothers Carol Naish and Judy Smith, Parent Participation Nursery School (PPNS) was born out of a vision to create a cooperative preschool that fosters community and learning. After extensive research and hard work, the school opened its doors in mid-October 1971, providing a nurturing environment for preschool children. Over the years, PPNS has evolved, moving through various locations until 1996 when a major fundraising campaign led to the purchase of a permanent facility at 92 Kaneohe Bay Drive. This achievement was made possible by the generous support of the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation and other local foundations, ensuring a stable home for future generations of learners.
