Our Story
The Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-Atlantic Chapter was founded by a group of courageous service members returning from World War II with spinal cord injuries. Established in 1947 in Chesterfield County, Virginia, this chapter is one of the original co-founding chapters of Paralyzed Veterans of America. Today, with over 800 members, the mission continues to ensure that all veterans and individuals with disabilities have the resources they need to lead fulfilling lives.
