Our Story

Inspired by a Los Angeles Times article in 1979, Para Los Niños was founded by social worker Tanya Tull to address the urgent needs of children living on Skid Row. Over the years, the organization has evolved to provide comprehensive services including early education, youth workforce development, and family support, all aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty.

Impact

Each year, Para Los Niños serves over 10,000 children, youth, and families, offering vital mental health services and educational support. Remarkably, 96% of children entering kindergarten meet school readiness benchmarks, and 100% of youth workforce participants remain in school.
