About the Pan-Mass Challenge
Founded in 1980 by Billy Starr, the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) began as a small charity bike ride in memory of his mother who lost her battle with cancer. Over the years, it has transformed into the most successful athletic fundraising event in the United States, uniting thousands of cyclists in the fight against cancer.
Impact of the PMC
With over $303 million raised for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the PMC is dedicated to making a difference. In 2024, the goal is to raise $75 million, with the support of over 6,800 riders and 3,500 volunteers.
