Our Story

The groundwork for Stevenson House began in 1958 with the Unitarian Senior Housing Association, established to provide moderate cost housing for elderly members of the Congregation. The Palo Alto Unitarian Church donated land for the project, and in 1967, the Palo Alto Senior Housing Project was formed to operate Stevenson House, named after the respected politician Adlai E. Stevenson.
