Our Story

Established in 1896, Palama Settlement is a community-based social service agency dedicated to serving the Kalihi and Pālama neighborhoods. With a rich history of over 125 years, this nonprofit organization offers a diverse range of educational, recreational, athletic, cultural, social, health, and community-building programs for individuals of all ages.

Impact in the Community

Palama Settlement serves over 900 children, 1,000 families, and 400 seniors annually, with numbers soaring to over 6,500 during the pandemic. The campus acts as a haven, providing essential services like an emergency food pantry, after-school enrichment, and wellness activities for seniors.
