Our Story
Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) originated from the beloved Art & Apples Festival®, first held in 1965. Founded by passionate local residents and businesses, the festival laid the groundwork for the Rochester Arts Commission in 1976, which aimed to create a vibrant community art center. Officially established in 1983, PCCA has been a cornerstone for artistic expression, offering exhibitions, studio art classes, and outreach programs that engage the community.

Since its inception, PCCA has successfully produced the annual Art & Apples Festival®, recognized as a top 50 national event by Sunshine Artist Magazine, while providing a diverse range of cultural programs that enrich the Greater Rochester area.
