Our Story

Founded in 1974 by a dedicated group of parents and Mary Nordland Bodo, Pacific Primary has grown into a vibrant community focused on early childhood education. With the support of a committed Board of Directors and generous funding from foundations and parents, the school has expanded to two locations: the Yellow Sun School and the Orange Sun School. This cooperative effort fosters a nurturing environment for children aged two and a half to six, emphasizing diversity and the creative arts.

Impact

Since its inception, Pacific Primary has made significant strides in enhancing teacher-student ratios, increasing diversity, and establishing a Tuition Assistance Endowment. The school is now a respected leader in Early Childhood Education, serving families across the Bay Area and supporting working parents with a full-day program.
