About Pacific Chorale

Founded in 1968, Pacific Chorale began as a gathering of passionate singers at the University of California, Irvine, and has since evolved into one of the nation’s leading symphonic choruses. Under the artistic leadership of John Alexander for 45 seasons, the Chorale has embarked on 13 international tours, presented over 30 premieres, and established a lasting partnership with Pacific Symphony. With a permanent home at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Pacific Chorale continues to enrich the cultural landscape of Orange County.

Impact on the Community

Pacific Chorale is dedicated to providing award-winning music education programs for children and adults, ensuring equitable access to all. By adapting to challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization has maintained engagement through virtual choir videos and online instruction, demonstrating resilience and commitment to the community.
