Our Story

P.R.O.B.E. (Potential Reentry Opportunities in Business and Education) was founded in 1978 by Dr. Kathryn Towns at Penn State. This initiative aims to support displaced homemakers, single parents, and pregnant or parenting teens in their journey to workforce reentry. Since becoming a nonprofit in 1988, P.R.O.B.E. has provided essential career counseling, skills training, and resources tailored to help individuals achieve economic independence.
