Our Story

The Ozaukee County Historical Society, established in 1960, is dedicated to preserving the rich history and heritage of Ozaukee County. Operating three historic properties, including the Hazel Wirth Archives and Research Center, Stony Hill School, and Ozaukee County Pioneer Village, the society engages the community through educational programming and historic preservation.

With a living history museum featuring 24 historic structures, the society has significantly increased attendance and membership, fostering a deeper understanding of local heritage.
