Founded in 1954 by dedicated community members, the Oxford Ambulance Association has evolved from a single used hearse-style ambulance to a vital emergency medical service provider in Oxford, Connecticut. With a commitment to public safety, OAA has separated from the Oxford Fire Department to focus on delivering advanced emergency medical care and community training programs.
Responding to over 1,000 calls each year, OAA relies on approximately 50 volunteers, contributing over 55,500 hours of service between 2018 and 2019. This dedication ensures that the community receives timely and effective emergency response.
