Our Story

Founded in 1994 through a Tulsa Area United Way venture grant, Owasso Community Resources (OCR) has become the primary social service provider in Owasso, Oklahoma. The organization mobilizes volunteers to assist families facing economic hardship, offering vital programs such as food, utility, and rent assistance, along with job search support and seasonal aid for school supplies and holiday gifts.

Impact

Each month, OCR serves an average of 471 households through its Food Pantry Program, distributing approximately 185,000 pounds of food quarterly, with nearly half being fresh produce. In 2024, a 30% increase in individuals served underscores the growing need for food security in the community.
