Founded in 1997 by Gayle McKenna, the Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California was established to address the alarming lack of information and resources available to women regarding ovarian cancer. Since gaining official nonprofit status in 2001, the coalition has united survivors and advocates across California to ensure women receive the early treatment they need to combat this deadly disease.
