The Outdoor Lab Foundation, established in 2003, aims to inspire community support for the Jeffco Schools Outdoor Lab Program. Founded by two former principals, the Foundation provides essential grants for capital improvements and special initiatives, ensuring sustainability and strategic programming for Outdoor Lab sites.
Impact of Outdoor Lab
Each year, approximately 5,000 sixth-graders from Jefferson County experience week-long residential camps that foster leadership, environmental stewardship, and personal growth. The program integrates youth development models to help students build self-esteem and civic-mindedness.
