EIN: 27-2772988 · Greensboro, NC
Our Story
Out of the Garden Project began in 2008 when co-founders Don and Kristy Milholin recognized the alarming food insecurity faced by their children's classmates. What started as a small initiative to feed a few families from their home has blossomed into the largest independent food insecurity nonprofit in the Piedmont area of North Carolina.
Our Impact
Every month, over 800 dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to provide nutritious food to families in need, tackling childhood hunger head-on in the Piedmont Triad. The organization has expanded significantly, now serving countless families and making a profound impact on food insecurity in the community.
Why Donate?
