Our Valley Our Future: A Community-Driven Initiative

Founded in 2015 by local leaders after a TEDx Conference in Wenatchee, Our Valley Our Future emerged to tackle pressing regional challenges such as the closure of the Alcoa plant, wildfires, and a housing crisis. Initially named Our Valley What’s Next, the organization gained recognition in the America’s Best Communities competition, which helped fund the development of a comprehensive community plan. Today, it focuses on collaborative engagement to create a long-range vision for the Lake Chelan Valley.

Impacting Lives in the Lake Chelan Valley

Our Valley Our Future has engaged over 3,000 residents in crafting a community Action Plan, resulting in significant improvements in housing, education, and local resources. Notable projects include the remodeling of the Wenatchee Public Library and the construction of trails in local parks, showcasing a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the region.
