Our Story

On February 10, 2015, Deah Shaddy Barakat, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha, and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha were tragically killed in a hate crime in Chapel Hill. This shocking event not only devastated their families but also resonated with communities worldwide. In response to the rising tide of hate crimes and the demonization of American Muslims and marginalized groups, the Our Three Winners Foundation was established. OTW honors the lives of Deah, Yusor, and Razan by striving to create systematic solutions to combat prejudice and bigotry.

Impact

OTW collaborates with researchers, psychologists, and activists to address implicit biases—prejudices that often go unnoticed. By tackling these biases, the foundation aims to prevent hate violence before it occurs, fostering a more inclusive society.
