Founded in April 2009 by Heather and Chris Dainiak, Our Promise to Nicholas Foundation was established in memory of their son Nicholas, who lost his battle with Batten Disease on his 11th birthday. The foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, supporting families, and funding research to combat this devastating illness.
Through community events like the annual Egg Hunt Festival, which raised $20,000 in 2023, and the Nicholas Giving Tree Project, which has provided holiday care packages to over 50 children with Batten Disease, the foundation has made a significant impact across the United States.
