Our Story

Founded in 2009, Our Coastal Village is dedicated to addressing the chronic shortage of low-income housing in Yachats, Oregon. After community meetings highlighted the urgent need for affordable housing, the organization has successfully developed several housing projects, including Fisterra Gardens Apartments, Aqua Vista Square, and Fisterra Gardens Townhomes. Layne Morrill, the founder, transitioned from a legal career to focus on this vital mission, emphasizing the importance of safe and decent homes for local workers.
