Our Story

The Other Side Academy was founded in response to a heartfelt letter from an inmate named Zach, who yearned for a different life after years of incarceration. Inspired by the Delancey Street model, Joseph Grenny and his wife, Celia, dedicated themselves to establishing a similar program in Utah. Officially opened in January 2015, the Academy provides a therapeutic community for individuals seeking to transform their lives through personal management, vocational training, and peer support.

As of March 2022, The Other Side Academy boasts a remarkable 74% drug-free rate, 83% crime-free rate, and 84% employment rate among its graduates. The focus on character development and purpose ensures long-term success that extends beyond mere sobriety.
