Our Story

The Orono Land Trust was established in 1986 to protect vital green spaces and ensure access to trails for future generations. With stewardship over 974 acres of land, including properties in Orono and Veazie, the Trust maintains these areas for public non-motorized use.

Currently, the Orono Land Trust protects over 1,000 acres across 14 recreation areas, ensuring public access to trails and preserving natural habitats for community enjoyment.
