Our Story
The Oren Margol Foundation was established in memory of Oren, a beloved son, father, and friend. Diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in December 2009, Oren was given only a few months to live. Thanks to the dedicated team at Duke, he was able to enjoy an additional three years with his loved ones before passing away in May 2013 at the age of 48. Every year, Oren's friends and family gather for the annual 'Jews vs. Catholics' golf match, a cherished tradition that celebrates his spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. This event has evolved into one of the most anticipated golf tournaments of the year, keeping Oren's memory alive while raising funds for a critical cause.
