Our Story

Orchestra Next is a vibrant training orchestra and the resident orchestra for the Eugene Ballet Company, dedicated to enriching Oregon's cultural landscape. Since its inception in 2012, Orchestra Next has become a beloved fixture in Eugene, performing every production of Eugene Ballet’s The Nutcracker and collaborating on innovative premieres such as The Great Gatsby, Grieg’s Peer Gynt, and Stravinsky’s The Firebird. This unique orchestra not only provides live music for staged productions but also fosters the growth of aspiring musicians through mentorship and collaboration.
