About Orchestra 2001
Orchestra 2001 is a collective of adventurous, virtuoso performers dedicated to the music of our time. Founded in 1988 at Swarthmore College, this ensemble has been a vital part of Philadelphia's cultural landscape, serving as Ensemble-in-Residence for nearly 25 years. In 2018, it became the first Ensemble-In-Residence at Cherry Street Pier, furthering its mission to connect diverse audiences with the greatest music of the 20th and 21st centuries.
