Options for Community Living, Inc.

Our Story

Options for Community Living, Inc. was established in 1982 to address the urgent need for housing for individuals with serious mental illness. Since opening its first community residence in 1984, Options has expanded its services to include supportive housing for people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic health conditions. Today, Options serves over 2,000 adults and children annually, managing more than 160 residential properties across Long Island.

Impact

Each year, Options for Community Living, Inc. provides supportive housing and case management services to more than 2,400 vulnerable Long Islanders, helping them achieve stability and improve their quality of life. The organization has been recognized for its commitment to quality services, receiving accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 2000.
