Opportunity Works

Our Story

Founded in 1974 by a dedicated group of residents in the Greater Newburyport area, Opportunity Works was established to fill the gap in support services for adults with developmental disabilities. Over the years, the organization has expanded its programs to cater to the unique needs of over 300 individuals aged 22 to 85 from 24 communities, employing 150 professionals and engaging hundreds of volunteers.

The organization has consistently received exemplary recognition for its commitment to excellence in employment, specialized day habilitation, community, and recreational services.
