Opportunity Center for the Homeless
EIN: 74-2634199 · El Paso, TX
Our Story
In the winter of 1994, Ray and Lilly Tullius opened the Opportunity Center for the Homeless in response to the tragic loss of homeless individuals due to exposure in El Paso County. What began as a simple emergency shelter has transformed into a comprehensive recovery service program, offering emergency shelter, permanent and transitional housing, on-site medical and mental health services, and intensive case management. Today, the center serves over 120,000 meals and provides more than 110,000 nights of lodging annually.
Impact
Each year, the Opportunity Center counsels over 2,000 individuals, including men, women, families, and youth, successfully transitioning over 900 into work, training, and educational programs.
