Since its inception in September 2011, Operation Sight has been dedicated to restoring vision for uninsured residents of South Carolina who cannot afford cataract surgery. Founded by visionary physicians Dr. John Boatwright, Dr. Paul Herring, and Dr. Kerry Solomon, this initiative has mobilized a team of over 80 volunteer healthcare professionals, including surgeons, ophthalmologists, and support staff. Together, they have performed over 779 sight-saving surgeries, significantly impacting the lives of more than 400 individuals.

Making a Lasting Impact

Operation Sight has achieved remarkable results, with 97% of participants returning to work within 3-6 months post-surgery. The organization has raised $2.2 million since 2017, demonstrating the community's commitment to this noble cause.
