Operation Liberation

Our Story

Operation Liberation is a Black-led and Black-centered nonprofit organization based in Kansas City, MO. Founded to disrupt and dismantle systems of oppression, particularly within the criminal justice system, it is rooted in a Black Queer Feminist politic and an Abolitionist view. The organization prioritizes community care over profits, advocating for a transformed Kansas City free from police and cages.

Impact

Operation Liberation is dedicated to removing barriers to Black liberation, ending cash bail, and dismantling oppressive systems that disproportionately affect Black individuals. Through bail support, restorative justice practices, and mutual aid, the organization provides essential resources to those most impacted by systemic injustice.
