Founded in 1965 by Lutheran missionary Rev. J. David Simonson, Operation Bootstrap Africa (OBA) partners with local communities in Tanzania, Madagascar, and Kenya. The organization focuses on empowering individuals through education, healthcare, and sustainable agriculture, fostering community involvement and utilizing local resources.

OBA has successfully supported over 800 students at the MaaSAE Girls Lutheran Secondary School, with many graduates achieving a college education. The organization also provides critical healthcare access and implements school lunch programs to combat malnutrition.
