Our Story

Since 1956, Opera Memphis has never stopped singing. Thirteen presidents, nine recessions, three trips to The Final Four, and one global pandemic later, the organization continues to make music. Music has the power to transform, unite, and challenge perspectives. Whether onstage, online, or on the back of a pick-up truck, Opera Memphis remains committed to sharing songs and stories with open hearts and arms.
