Opened Bible Academy

Our Story

Opened Bible Academy was founded by Avis Blake-Thomas and Tina Brown, who experienced a profound transformation during their seminary studies. They discovered that the Bible is not just a book, but a life manual filled with divine instruction and revelation. This journey ignited a passion within them to share the opportunity for deep biblical study with others, regardless of their financial situation or educational background. Thus, the Opened Bible Academy was born, aiming to equip a diverse group of disciples to impact the world with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Impact

In just one year, Opened Bible Academy served 271 students across four quarters in both virtual and in-person classrooms. Additionally, 124 students participated in our enriching summer workshops. Our dedicated volunteers contributed over 11,000 hours to our mission, empowering students to share the Gospel and initiate nearly 3,000 conversations about Christ, resulting in 546 new believers.
