About Open T.R.A.I.L. Ranch

Founded in 2012 by Kate Vasquez, Open T.R.A.I.L. Ranch is dedicated to serving individuals with special needs in Kendall, Bexar, and surrounding counties through transformative equine-assisted services. What began as a small operation with just one barn and a handful of rescue horses has blossomed into a thriving facility on a 100-acre property, equipped with two barns, a mini-barn, three sand arenas, and a wheelchair mounting ramp. With a team of three certified instructors, 18 equine partners, and numerous dedicated volunteers, OTR is committed to making a difference in the lives of those it serves.
