Open Stage Project is a nonprofit organization based in New York City, founded in 2016 by Elsa Ward. The mission is to close the gender gap in behind-the-scenes careers in film, TV, and theater. By offering free afterschool programs and paid fellowships, Open Stage Project introduces young women and non-binary students to the creative industry, equipping them with essential skills and opportunities.

Since its inception, Open Stage Project has served over 400 students, facilitated 89 student trips to workshops, and provided more than 1500 hours of pro bono mentorship from female industry leaders. This initiative has made a profound difference in the lives of aspiring creatives.
